LAKE & ANGLING RULES!

 GENERAL  LAKE RULES 

1. No fires or BBQ's 
2. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
3. Please keep the pathways clear.
4. Children under 16 to be accompanied by an adult unless prior permission is granted by the fishery manager.
5. No Anti social behaviour.  
6. Anyone who wishes to fish must purchase a day ticket. This includes people sharing rods or people having a quick go. If you wish to fish you will need to purchase a day ticket.
7. Day tickets are collected from your peg. 
8. All fish to be returned to the water alive and well.
9. Current Environment Agency rod licence required to fish.
10. No Drugs or Alcohol. 
11. DO NOT push banksticks etc into the platforms, no stage stands.

RIGS and TACKLE

1. Maximum of 2 rods per angler.
2. No surface fishing.
3. No Zig rigs.
4. No Bait boats.
5. No Spodding 
6. Barbless hooks only.
7. Maximum HOOK size 10.
8. NO BRAID......................MONO only.
9. All feeder or leger rigs must be completely free running with nothing above the lead or feeder.  
10. No leadcore or leaders
11. Maximum of 1.5 oz leads or 45g feeders. 
12. No elasticated feeders 
13. No lure fishing, spinning, fly fishing or sea fishing tackle.
14. Keepnets in Matches only. 
15. You must have an appropriate landing net to fish.  
16. Poles must be elasticated, no flick tips allowed
17. Rig checks may be carried out by the fishery manager or lake staff only.

BAIT RULES

1. Boilies can be used as hookbait only.
2. No nuts 
3. No feeding of floating baits. (bait that floats on the surface, this does not mean no float fishing )
4. Please do not throw unwanted bait onto the bank.
5. NO high oil pellets in winter. Trout or halibut pellets
6. No artificial baits plastic corn etc.

FISH CARE RULES

1.  Unhooking mats must be used when unhooking fish on the ground. (mat hire costs £2).  Coats, towels, cushions, carrier bags etc are not unhooking mats. If your mat is not appropriate you may be asked to hire one.
2. No standing up with fish of any size .
3. Do not use towels or rags to hold fish.
4. Please return netted fish to the water in your landing net.
5. Do not leave rods unattended.
6. When weighing or photographing fish please have all necessary items ready and do not leave the fish unatteded for any period of time. Return the fish to the water as soon as possiible.
